What's it going to be, 10 or 20 miles? The Willow Trail Race is actually two events on the same course with the 20-mile runners leaving at 7:30 am to complete two loops while the 10-mile runners leave at 8:00 am to complete one loop.
The wide grass and gravel trail will take you to far reaches of the Willow River State Park with a variety of terrains and scenic views that will keep you engaged every step of the way.

Willow River State Park - 1034 County Highway A, Hudson, WI 54016
From downtown Hudson, at the Vine Street stoplight turn east. Follow Vine Street up the hill to County Highway A. Turn left and follow County A to the park entrance.
From Interstate Highway 94, take Exit # 4 and go north on US Highway 12 for about 3.5 miles. The park entrance will be on the left.
In an effort to reduce our environmental footprint, we will have UltrAspire reusable cups available for sale ($7 cash) at registration, on race day or feel free to bring your own container to use at our aid stations.

If a hotel is more your style consider the many hotels in the area. From Hudson, WI. to Stillwater and Woodbury MN. I'm sure you'll find something right for you.
The field limit is 400 runners. (combined 20 and 10 mile distances)
Packet pick-up is on race morning only. Packet pick-up starts at 6:00 AM and closes 10 minutes prior to your respective race. (arrive early enough to pay park admission and park)
There will be a short pre-race briefing about 5 minutes prior to the start of your respective race.
Parking admission costs can be found on the Willow River State Park site.
We ask that runners and volunteers park in the parking lot near the nature center / start area at the southern part of the park. Follow the signs upon your arrival or ask for assitance at the front office.
20-miler runners can keep a drop bag near the area where they enter for the second loop. We will collect they at the start.
Water, Hammer Heed, Hammer Gel, soft drinks (Coca-Cola and Ginger Ale), peanut butter sandwiches, potato chips, cookies, candy and fruit. If you have special dietary requirements, please make sure to make use of your drop bags.
The two aid stations (one on the course and start/finish) are staffed by fellow runners, friends and family members. Please make every effort to thank them for their time and efforts!
The first aid station is 6ish miles from start and the second aid station is just before the point where the 10-milers head to the finish and where the 20-milers head out on loop two.
We will have portable toilets available at the start/finish line and aid stations. We ask that you use these facilities and keep the trails clean. Leave no trace.
Pacers and Crew
Pacers are NOT allowed. Runners can have a crew but may only administer aid at the aid stations.
Should you need to drop from the race, remove your bib and give directly to an aid station crew captain.
If you leave the course and fail to notify race officials, you will be asked not to participate in future St. Croix Running Company events.
Awards (each distance)
First through third place male and female awards will be presented as runners finish or shortly after.
Delay, Suspend or Cancel the Event
The race director reserves the right to delay, suspend or cancel any part or all of the event if weather conditions deem it dangerous to the participants or harmful to the course.
